Hello You have many options for your move.1) Sell items that could be replaced at new location and move a smaller amount your self by renting a truck and having friends, church or co-workers help. or hiring a local company just to load your rented truck and again a local company just to unload your rented truck.
2) Hire a local company at origin area to move you. For example with our the Busy Bee Moving Company we use 1 truck for your move and the same crew is with you for both loading and unloading. Your items are never removed from the truck. 48 to 72 hour arrival.
With a large van lines your items maybe moved from truck to truck to truck. Of course increasing the amount of chance of damage or theft. 10 to 45 days arrival.
3) ABF U-Pack Moving They supply the trailer and drive it to both locations. You load and unload. Or hire local companies to supply the labor. ABF charges by the foot. 8 foot 12 foot etc.

My experience with Busy Bee was nothing short of phenomenal!!!!!! I was looking for someone to drive a shipment of artwork from New York City to the Saint Louis Art Museum. Busy Bee offered to do the job at an extremely reasonable cost. They coordinated airfare to New York City, travel from the airport, and load in at the pick up location. They were courteous, responsive and very helpful. I was out of town at the time of the move, and they called to update with arrival times and schedules. The driver met a ground crew in New York, loaded all artworks from the studio into the truck, and drove the truck to St. Louis. He was incredibly responsible and careful. The crew in New York was greatly impressed. The driver asked for detailed handling instruction for the fragile artworks given that he would oversee the unload at the St. Louis Art Museum. Once at the museum, the staff was museum was greatly impressed by the care and professionalism shown by the driver and handler. They remarked many times on the care given to handling the objects. I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with Busy Bee. Their services far exceeded my expectation. I give them my very highest recommendation. OUTSTANDING!
